NEW STORY: CHandra ryder, Rain city church

Beth Johnston

My church community has always been extremely important to me - really an extension of my family. When I came out a few years ago, and had to start the search for a new church because my former congregation was anti-LGBT, it was a heartbreaking experience. I was devastated at the loss of friends and ministries that had been very close to my heart. Trying to find a new community where I could make those sorts of connections has been difficult. The Church Clarity movement is vitally important to helping people in my situation, people moving into new communities, or people who find themselves dissatisfied with their current church's stance on LGBT issues, to quickly get connected to a church family where they can serve and be served in an environment of love and acceptance.
