Its Score is Unclear because this congregation's actively enforced policy is not located on website's primary pages, but in a pastor's statement from a sermon given June 12th, 2013.
"It is at this time that the world will be plunged into a level of sin
and hatred for God that is unprecedented in the history of the world.
Right now in our culture the church and the Holy Spirit are a force in
the world that are keeping things from going completely out of control.
What has been the main obstacle of the movement to legalize same sex marriage?
The church.
What has been the main obstacle in the pro choice movement to legalize abortion?
Again the church.
In every instance where the world wants to accept, allow, condone or
promote something that is immoral and against God the church is the main
obstacle...
But if you asked me if the church has done well concerning the gay
community I would say with the exception of ministries like Exodus and
guys like Cy Chambers it has failed miserably.
The church has failed the gay community in two ways.
In ostracizing them in such a condemning way.
You have these ultra legalistic religious zealots, and I really think
they are just a bunch of very stupid people who if they hadn’t found
their own misguided interpretation of Jesus would have probably become
white supremacists,
but you have them showing up at gay and lesbian rallies with big signs saying, “God Hates Queers!”
Does God hate gay people?
No God loves the sinner He just hates the sin.
Liberal theology that allows for the acceptance not of the gay person but of the gay life style.
We need to accept the gay person while holding to the biblical line on the lifestyle.
But what were the foremost sins in a community that had lost all awareness, fear or awe of God, I am speaking of Sodom.
They were primarily, homosexuality and all forms of perversion, and
sorcery, which included the use of drugs and alcohol to fuel their
lusts.
The world today is looking a lot like Sodom but it is nothing to compare to the way it is going to be after we are gone.
Now that I have painted such a bright and lovely picture let’s read our text for today."
