You Don't Talk About Gay Marriage In Church (Sermon by Josh Baird, April 2018) Listen starting at 15:22 and at 28:13
Excerpts:
(15:22) “Society gets offended, people get easily offended and they get up in arms when you start defining what marriage is. We believe as a church, hear me today in love, we believe unapologetically as a church, that marriage is between one man and one woman. God created it, God defines it, God regulates it, God has given it to us as a gift to not only enjoy each other man and woman, but to be a reflection of God in the earth. We believe that marriage is defined by God to be between a man and a woman.”
(28:13) “Listen, you can satisfy your desire now because we have sinful desires and it be completely against everything that God has for you in your life. A lot of times obedience is uncomfortable. So we talk about same-sex attraction, we talk about same-sex marriage, we talk about, you know, and the church has been really good at pointing those things out as sin because the bible obviously, there is no question that the bible shows us what God intends for us in our sexuality.”
