Excerpt from Staff Commitment: "Demonstrate moral purity as defined in the Bible – including refraining from all premarital, homosexual, and/or extramarital sexual activity;"
God, How Should Christians Relate to Gay People? (Sermon by Rich Nathan, May 2015)
Excerpt: "But our understanding of scripture is that a local Vineyard church may not perform a marriage between two people of the same-sex, and we may not ordain someone to pastoral ministry, who is having sex outside of heterosexual marriage. That is the position of our global church family, and that is the position of Vineyard Columbus."
Senior Minister's Blog on Understanding and Responding to the Obergfell Decision
Its actively enforced policy cannot be found in the website's primary pages but in a staff commitment document, a 2015 sermon and in a blog post on the senior minister's website.
The church's actively enforced policy is located in sermon notes indicating that women can fully lead, dated May 7, 2017, by Pastor Rich Nathan. However, due to a senior co-pastor being a woman and the frequnecy at which women preach we have scored the church as Clear: Egalitarian.
